Priti Robyn Ross is an author, inspirational speaker, and international workshop leader for more than 25 years.
She has directed and created curricula for multiple 200 and 500-hour yoga teacher training programs.
Priti developed and implemented groundbreaking wellness programs at major hospitals and health institutions in New York City, as well as innovative stress management seminars for various corporations worldwide. She is a contributing author in two medical textbooks on the therapeutic applications of yoga and has been featured in a variety of network television appearances and in leading magazines.
Affectionately known as the “self-care specialist” she has guided thousands of participants to discover empowering tools for inner peace and balance with her signature personal growth programs. Priti is a pioneer and leader in the revolution of genuine self-care before it was mainstream. With a beloved practice of yoga for 35 years...she holds advanced level multiple yoga teacher certifications in Kripalu Yoga, Prana Yoga and Integrative Yoga Therapy among others. In addition, she has as a certification in Holistic Health Education. She is co-founder of the evolutionery Pranotthan Yoga School and has diverse experience in many health and wellness arenas.
As Founder and Director of the LIFE AS YOGA®, a successful yoga business in NYC for almost three decades, she teaches full time both private yoga therapy sessions, group yoga classes, workshops and corporate wellness programs. She also leads personal growth workshops and exquisite worldwide yoga retreats. Priti is known for her big heart, passion for the transformative power of yoga, and supporting others to reach their full radiant potential. With her skills in anatomy combined with yoga philosophy she incorporates the multidimensional approach to yoga with depth, passion and accessibility.
Affectionally called a teachers-teacher, Priti is co-founder of the evolutionary Pranotthan Yoga School and Pranotthan Yoga Teacher Trainings in NY, NJ, CT and RI. She has been the Director for three nationally certified Yoga Alliance approved yoga teacher trainings - The Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training at the Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA; The Prana Yoga Teacher Training at the NY Open Center, NY and Co-Director for the Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher Training at the Kripalu Center, MA, PA, Brazil and in England with Joseph LePage. She also leads advanced trainings for teachers in the Art of Assisting and Anatomical Alignment Principles.
Robyn was one of the first yoga teachers in the country to be credentialed by a major medical institution. Serving on staff at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, NY for three years with Dr. Mehmet Oz, she pioneered a groundbreaking yoga program for his Cardiac patients. Her work there has been featured in magazines such as Yoga International, LIFE, SELF, and New Woman. She has been seen on TV on ABC's Turning Point, Good Morning America, and on NBC and CBS News programs.
In addition, Robyn taught yoga and meditation to breast cancer survivors for the Comprehensive Breast Center, yogic breathing and meditation to emphysema patients for the Pulmonary Wellness Center both at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital, NY as well as cancer patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering. She delivered a lecture on how yoga can help with chemotherapy side effects and led a class and for pediatric oncology patients and their families at the Integrative Therapies Program for Children with Cancer. She is an Oxford Health Care approved yoga practitioner.
Priti Robyn is a designer of corporate wellness programs and an experienced Stress Management instructor teaching stress management at major corporations such as AT&T and the American Stock Exchange. Moreover, she is a professional speaker on the benefits of yoga for health since 1986.
She delivers presentations at health fairs, schools, hospitals and major health conferences. She has given a presentation at the "21st Century Well-Being" conference, with keynote Dr. Dean Ornish, at the Kripalu Center in MA. She also taught yoga for and lectured at the conference "New Holistic Medicine for the 21st Century", with keynote Dr. Rudolph Ballentine, sponsored by the NY Open Center. For four consecutive years Robyn has delivered Keynotes and Presentations at the "Yoga Therapy Symposium" a skill building conference for yoga teachers/therapists at the Kripalu Center.
For six years she has delivered a "chair yoga" experience and lecture on the "health benefits of yoga" for "Health-Wise Woman: New Options" a woman's health symposium at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. Furthermore, she taught yoga classes for the "Survivors Day Celebration" sponsored by Beth Israel Hospital and "Workout in the Park" sponsored by Self-Magazine.
Most notably Priti has been published in two medical textbooks; "Alternative and Complementary Treatment in Neurologic Illness" and "Alternative and Complementary Treatments for Rehabilitation". Her chapters are entitled "Yoga as a Therapeutic Modality". Churchill Livingstone, A Harcourt Heath Sciences Company, publishes both textbooks. She was featured recently in the New York Times as a yoga expert reviewing various yoga mats. Robyn is in negotiations to write a book on YOGA THERAPY and articles in many major magazines.
